P4(b) Following Shooting Script/Storyboard

Meaning and Purpose : In this section, I will show how I follow and chance the idea of storyboard while filming

This footage is exactly the same to what I drew in the story board. The footage is been shot in the astro. During night time the spot light at the astro will be tuned on and it gives good amount of light source. Also no one is using the astro by the time we were filming. All footage were took easily under quiet environment. I had used a horizontal camera angle , high key light and long shot. Using high key light allow me to capture to detail of the person. Using a long shot for a running scene provide a wider screen which seems Bosco had been running for a far distance.

The drawing from the storyboard is very similar to the footage I took from the gym room. I am even more please with my actual footage as I think I had made a good shot with combination of low camera ,high key light. Low camera angle gives a fear, powerful impression to audience. Using Low key light also give a better shading on the muscle which seems to have a better body figure.

As I could't find a sandbag around school. For this scene,  I had changed my initial idea from the drawing board and use a person holding a punching pad. I tried to follow the same camera angle as I drew it. The outcome had met my expectation. The camera is mainly focus on the actor which did attract the audience attention. I had used a low camera angle, medium close up and medium key light. The low camera angle gives a powerful and fear effect to audience. The medium close up had also guide the audience to only focus on the actor.

The footage I took is almost identical to the my drawing, which the actor is boxing with the punch pad. The squash centre which I did the filming have plenty of light and space. The filming are done perfectly. Made good use of the combination of low camera angle, medium key light and mid-shot.
The medium key light gives out a dim surround which carry a fear effect to audience. The low camera angle gives a powerful effect as well.

Ending Scene :
Bosco is so tired after load of training. He kneed on the floor in front of the trainer. I had used a high camera angle, high key light and close up shot. Using high key light allow me to capture more detail about the facial expression. The close up shot allow audience to focus on the actor. The high angle camera setting makes Bosco feels weak and tired effect.
