P3 (a) Learners resolve identified legal or ethical issues for their planned audio- visual media product

Meaning and Purpose : In this section, I will show how I obey the copyright laws in all of the pro-production , filming & editing procedure.

Copyright is a law that protect the product of a company which avoid people to infringe on the product without permission. Person who break the law will face penalty.  In my advertisement, I had used a music soundtrack for the background. The music I download it from http://freemusicarchive.org It is a website where artist produce their music and promote themselves by letting people to download it for free. I had managed to find one suitable music from the website and download. All the music is free and more importantly, I do not need a permission from the artist to use the music.

Filming Permission
It is important to ask permission to film in public area, as filming process can potential disturbing people in some area. Luckily, all the filming process will be film around the school area, all the places are open and ready to be use for student for any purposes. As long as I notice the teacher who are on duty on that certain area. I will be fine for filming.

Offensive behaviour
It is very important for me to avoid any offensive behaviour as it is important for me create an advertisement to aim all kind of gender, age and ethnic group. As all the filming footage is only related to range of exercises, there will be no offensive content contain.

Model Release Form

Before start shooting, I have to create a Model Release Form which allow my model to read through the detail of the working process. After they had read through all the statement in the Form, they had to fill in their personal detail in the form and sign it at the bottom.  Once they had signed it, it means they had fully understand all the term and conditions.

Above are the scan copy of the model release form. Both of actors agree to be part of the filming and photo shooting process. They had completely read through the term and condition and signed their name on top which shows they totally understood everything.

Royalty

Royalty is a payment that pay to a franchisee or copyright holder. The payment is usually pay every time the users use it or annually. The payment is a fixed price which is the percentage of the product. Those payment is a way to support and help franchisee to run their business. In general, royalty is a copyright payment to people who created the product.
